Offline Gantt chart software
Cloud project tools stop existing the moment the connection does. GanttPulse is built the other way around: everything runs on your machine, and the internet is optional.
Who needs offline, really
Confidential work
Client roadmaps, legal matters, defense projects, anything under NDA. If the plan cannot live in a vendor's cloud, the tool must run without one.
Air-gapped and locked-down networks
Plants, labs, government and finance networks where cloud tools are blocked by policy. GanttPulse installs and runs entirely inside the perimeter.
Work anywhere
Planes, sites, trains, client basements with no signal. Your plan opens because it is a file on your disk, not a page on someone's server.
No dependency on a vendor being up
No login outage, no maintenance window, no company shutting down can lock you out of your own projects.
What works offline: everything
Runs with zero connection
- The full Gantt: scheduling, dependencies, critical path, baselines
- Workload heatmap, dashboard, My Tasks, executive overview
- All exports: Excel, CSV, MS Project XML, PowerPoint, PDF
- The license itself: it validates offline with public-key cryptography, no activation server
- The AI assistant, when you point it at a local model (Ollama)
- Team collaboration on your own network, no internet needed, just your LAN
Needs a connection, honestly
- The AI assistant when you choose a cloud provider (your key, your choice)
- Email notifications from the team server, if you configure SMTP
Both are optional. The core product never phones home, there is no telemetry and no account, details on the security page.
Three offline shapes
A full desktop app with a bundled database, a single portable file you can carry on a USB stick, or a team server on your own network. All three are local-first and work offline; pick yours on the download page.
Offline questions
Is there Gantt chart software that works fully offline?
Yes. GanttPulse is a Windows desktop Gantt planner built local-first: projects are files on your own disk, every feature from scheduling to exports runs without a connection, and even the license validates offline with public-key cryptography. There is no account and no activation server.
Does the AI assistant work offline?
It can. The assistant runs on the provider you configure: with a cloud provider it needs a connection, but you can point it at a local model (for example via Ollama) and then the AI runs fully offline too.
Can a team collaborate offline?
Yes, on your own network. The team-server edition runs on a machine you control (a Windows service, or Docker on request) and the team collaborates in real time over the LAN. The internet is never required, only your network.
How do I get my data out?
Any time, offline: export to Excel, CSV, MS Project XML, native PowerPoint, a PDF report or lossless JSON. Your projects are yours in the most literal sense, files you can copy, back up and carry.
What does it cost?
A one-time license: $79 per seat at launch, free during the beta, and beta users lock in $49. No subscription, which fits offline software, there is nothing hosted to rent.
